# Quick Start Lend

> This guide will help you start lending on Taolend and earn interest in just 5 minutes.

## Prerequisites

Before you begin, make sure you have the following ready:

* ✅ **EVM Wallet** (e.g. MetaMask)
* ✅ **Bittensor Wallet**
* ✅ TAO tokens on the Bittensor chain
* ✅ Sufficient gas fees in your EVM wallet

## Step Zero: Bridge Assets to Your EVM Account

⚠️ **Important**: Before using Taolend, you must bridge your assets from the Bittensor chain to your EVM account.

Taolend operates on the **Bittensor EVM chain**, so your TAO tokens must be bridged from the Bittensor native chain first. This allows you to:

* Manage assets using EVM wallets like MetaMask
* Participate in lending activities on Taolend
* Access sufficient gas fees for on-chain transactions

## Lender Quick Guide

### Step 1: Connect Wallet and Register

1. **Access the Platform**
   * Open the Taolend website
   * Click **Connect Wallet** in the top-right corner

2. **Connect Your EVM Wallet**
   * Choose MetaMask (or another EVM wallet)
   * Confirm the connection in your wallet
3. **Complete Registration**
   * Go to the **Profile** page and click **Register**
   * Sign an message to verify your identity
   * Confirm the signature in your wallet
   * **Confirm the registration transaction**
   * Wait for confirmation — registration is complete

### Step 2: Deposit TAO

1. **Go to the Profile Page**
   * Click **Deposit**
   * Select **Free Tao** or **0 - Root**

2. **Enter Amount**
   * Enter the TAO Amount you want to deposit
   * Review the details
3. **Complete Deposit**
   * Click **Deposit**
   * Confirm the transaction in your wallet
   * Wait for confirmation (about 10–30 seconds)

### Step 3: Create Loan Offer

1. **Go to the Lend Page**
   * Click **+ New Offer**
2. **Configure Offer Parameters**
   * **Subnet**: The Subnet of ALPHA collateral you accept
   * **Amount**: Maximum TAO you are willing to lend
   * **Daily APR**: Daily interest rate (0.01% – 1%)
   * **Maximum Acceptable Price**: Upper price limit for ALPHA collateral
   * **Expire in**: Validity period of the offer

3. **Sign and List**
   * Click **List**
   * Sign with your wallet (offline signature)
   * The offer is instantly visible on the Market

### Step 4: Manage Loans and Offers

1. **Wait for Borrowers**
   * Your offer appears on the Market
   * Once accepted, TAO is automatically lent out
   * You will be notified
2. **View Active Loans**
   * Go to **Lend → Active**
   * Track loan status and interest accrual in real time
3. **Manage Offers**
   * Create multiple offers with different parameters
   * Cancel individual or all offers at any time
